The Power Of Search Engine Marketing & Status

Copyright © Paul Birdsall, Your Online Success Partner

Search engines can be a very powerful online home-based business tool, as long as
you know how to raise your status with them correctly. The most successful home-based business entrepreneurs are those who get the most traffic to their websites and
conduct the most successful advertising campaigns.

Above everything, in order to become successful at your home-based business, you
have to be willing to put the time into it; unless you organize your time wisely
(particularly in the beginning stages) you will wind up nowhere fast.

How do you get traffic to your website? Forget cold-calls. Thatʼs a thing of the past.
Start thinking advertising.

The first thing you want to do is to submit your site to as many search engines as
possible, sites such as: Google, AltaVista, WebCrawler, Netscape, Lycos, MSN,
Kanoodle and many more. What industries is your site linked to?
You want to put yourself in your niche market and link up with as many private link directories/search engines as possible. This is how you saturate your niche market.

Write articles and press releases about your site. If youʼre not a writer
, donʼt fake it; certainly donʼt waste valuable networking and advertising time to try and write concise articles if thatʼs not an area youʼve been trained in. There are many freelance writers
and article writing services available online for a reasonable cost. Just type in
something like “article writing” in any given search engine and this should lead you to an
online article writing service.

Why would you want to do this?

Because having articles and press releases written about your site will flag it and raise your status on search
engines.

Your whole goal is to have your site show up on the first page when people
search for your subject/service area of expertise.

New, dynamic content with links. Upload fresh content to your site frequently
. Nothing is worse for your rating with search engines than stale content. Link your site to other
affiliate sites and relevant links. And make sure your links arenʼt broken - this irritates
people and makes your site appear unprofessional. Search engines love links - the
more pages, the better.

Finally, get on generating advertising revenue. Banner ads, pay-per-click ads, Google
Adwords and the like. Once you get the traffic going to your site, send emails out to
anyone who could be in your advertising realm. If youʼre getting the traffic, advertisers
will pay you good money to place their ads on your site.

Follow these tips and do your research to discover other tricks and techniques used by
successful online marketers. If you do this, you will quickly be on the right track to making the first page on search engines.

Online Joint Venture Opportunities

Copyright © Paul Birdsall, Your Online Success Partner

A joint venture is when two or more businesses join together to work on a project for a set period of time. Doing joint ventures with other businesses can increase your chances of beating your competition, increase your sales and increase your profits quickly. Plus:

-you can save money when businesses share operating costs-you can get referrals from other businesses

-you can save valuable time when businesses share the workload

-you can offer your customers new products and services

-you can gain new business associates-you can save money by sharing advertising and marketing costs

-you can get free advice and important information from other businesses

You can find businesses to joint venture with online or offline. I try to find businesses that have the same target audience, but are not direct competition with my business. Here are a few ways to find joint ventures online:

-subscribe and participate in e-mail discussion groups, online forums and newsgroups that deal with your target audience-subscribe to e-zines that deal with your targeted audience

-note on your Web site or e-zine that you are interested in doing joint ventures

-search in your favorite web directories and search engines to find businesses to joint venture with online

Once you find a business simply e-mail them your proposal. Tell the business owner the benefits of the joint venture. Explain to him or her why it would be a win/win situation for both of your businesses. Give them a lot of compliments about their business, Web site, products and services. Using all three methods above will greater your chance of constructing aprofitable joint venture. Good Luck!

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM): What It Is All About?

Copyright © Paul Birdsall, Your Online Success Partner

You’ve hear the term Multi-Level Marketing, but what does it mean? MLM is also known as Network Marketing or Affiliate Marketing, and it’s a system that compensates the seller not only for direct sales of products, but also for driving business to the parent company.

Those involved in MLM are highly reliant on social networking mediums, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Nexopia and Twitter, as well as email distribution and search engine optimization (SEO). In a successful MLM company, the network will continue to expand, and there will be several levels of royalties, as new sellers are recruited and more clients are brought in.

MLM works opposite from traditional sales – and that’s why some people have difficulty understanding it. Instead of eliminating your fellow sellers, you want to recruit them and thus gain compensation from the company for expanding the network. One of the most rewarding aspects of MLM is that it eliminates traditional sales tactics, such as the dreaded cold call.

To learn about MLM properly, you need to have a mentor. There are just as many pyramid schemes out there as there are legitimate companies. Make sure you do your research before you make your decision as to which company you’re going to work with. As long as you are selective in who you put your faith in, MLM can wind up being an enormously successful business venture – some of the most accomplished home-based business people are Multi-Level Marketers.

Proper MLM mentors will teach you how to: generate solid leads, recruit larger numbers of people, use marketing campaigns that work, save money on advertising, get a better rating with search engines and much more to develop your online marketing presence.

The premise of MLM is networking, and part of this is linking. In order to become known on search engines, you need to link as much as you can to your website; if you have a blog – link it; get article and press releases written about your website/product – link them; utilize social networking mediums like Facebook and Twitter – then link them; and link your website to other affiliate websites to generate more traffic. Generating traffic is the goal to becoming known on search engines and getting a higher ranking than other related websites.

There is much more to Multi-Level Marketing. What you need to know is that it is possible to make a solid income with your home-based business in the world of MLM. Be selective in the company you choose to partner with and focus on networking and linking. Don’t go for overnight “get rich quick” schemes and watch for sign-up fees that seem unreasonable or inflated. If you remember these basics before you get involved, the odds are you will achieve great success with your home-based business through Multi-Level Marketing.

Tips for Getting Quality Recruits for Your MLM

Recruiting vast numbers of people for your multi-level marketing (MLM) business is wonderful, but only if those who sign on with you are quality recruits who will benefit your business in the long-term. You want people who are like-minded, who want to succeed, who are willing to work for that success.

In other words, you want people like you working for you.

Here are five things to consider when you are trying to get someone on board:

1. Welcome skepticism. You are not in the great debate. Remember, you want someone to be skeptical, to ask questions. Someone who asks intelligent questions will likely be a terrific salesperson. Just make certain you have a good answer for all those questions. You must be confident and sound like an expert. And if you’re not certain what the answer to their question is, be honest, make a note of it, and promise to get them the answer. Thank your prospect for their questions.

2. Once they’ve said no thank you, they probably mean it---and why would you want someone on your team who is less than enthusiastic anyway? That “no” may turn into a “yes” given a little time to think things over. But should you feel the need to push, you are putting yourself in the position of looking “desperate.” Guess what? It won’t work and you may lose a recruit that might have been a terrific addition to your team.

3. Chances are your prospect is interested---it’s up to you to determine how interested. They’ve gone to your website, they’ve read up on all the benefits of your MLM, they’ve filled out a query. They’re about to take the bait, but are still concerned there’s more hype than real business. They want to hear about others who have given your MLM a try. If you are confident about your business, this shouldn’t be a problem. Let them know about others who are involved in your MLM. First-hand accounts have incredible value when trying to recruit.

4. When you’re talking to a recruit, try to avoid words that will make them nervous---like “chance of a lifetime” or “greatest opportunity”. Your MLM is a business, so call it that. It’s an investment, not an opportunity. The more you use industry “hype” the more nervous a prospective recruit is going to be. It’s difficult to tone it down when you are enthusiastic about your MLM, but the more professional you act and sound when talking to your prospective recruit, the more comfortable they will be.

5. Be honest about what is involved. Don’t tell them they are going to be rich overnight without lifting a finger. Tell your recruit how hard you work and make sure to let them know how much fun it is. It’s not for everyone. You’re screening people, so feel free to ask them questions about how serious they are about taking this step. Make them want to work for you. Remember, you want quality, not quantity. Okay, you do want quantity. But you want quality quantity. Finding good, solid recruits takes a little bit of effort. But once you put the time and effort in, you’ll find your MLM business growing and your bottom line expanding.
